Binary package hint: ubuntu-sounds
Seen on a Feisty 7.04 with actual updates and a onboard and a real
soundcard (terratec) in the machine.
This Problem is about overall Playback functionality, not just some
special Files.
Hibernate your machine, and then boot it up again. Then try to play a
audio file. It won't play any tune.
