Public bug reported: The addon "Unity Desktop Integration" (currently v2.4.4) breaks the ability to add search engines on http://mycroftproject.com Affected are all OpenSearch Plugins (marked with A9), trying to install a plugin results in an error message stating that Javascript needs to be enabled.
Once the addon is disabled everything works as expected. (a popup opens asking me if I really want to install the plugin) % LC_ALL=C lsb_release -a LSB Version: core-2.0-amd64:core-2.0-noarch:core-3.0-amd64:core-3.0-noarch:core-3.1-amd64:core-3.1-noarch:core-3.2-amd64:core-3.2-noarch:core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 12.10 Release: 12.10 Codename: quantal % LC_ALL=C apt-cache policy firefox-gnome-support firefox-gnome-support: Installed: 19.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.10.2 Candidate: 19.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.10.2 Version table: *** 19.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.10.2 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal-updates/main amd64 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal-security/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 16.0.1+build1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: unity-firefox-extension (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1149231 Title: UDI breaks adding Search Engine plugins on http://mycroftproject.com To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-firefox-extension/+bug/1149231/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
