If all my application windows are minimized unity starts to respond
slowly, in particular menu's from the notification area will not respond
to mouse interaction also the unity sidebar, which I have set to auto-
hide, will show up slowly.
However if I just use Alt-Tab to select one of the minimized windows
unity starts responding properly.
