As for the full steps to reproduce the problem here: 1. Boot up another computer with a Linux-based OS installed (in this case, a developer-mode Chromebook with a Pioneer DVR-XD09 plugged in) 2. Get to a terminal (preferably a Bash shell, which in this case, the crosh command "shell" gets me there) 3. Insert a DVD-RW disc into either an internal or (in my case) external DVD-RW drive (a CD-R or DVD-R won't work) 4. Run "wget -O - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/raring-desktop-amd64.iso | sudo dd if=/dev/sr0" (replace /dev/sr0 with the DVD-RW drive in question if you have to) 5. Test the resulting Live CD on a desktop computer with a Linksys WMP600N installed.
