Well, I took bspisak's suggestion and did the same with my system (3.5.0-21), and so far it's stayed running for 18 continuous days, at least 10 days beyond the longest it had ever stayed running prior to that.
At first I thought the experiment wasn't successful, but quickly realized that the crashes behaved differently, and were in fact associated with running timidity. During this current 18-day run, I refrained from using timidity. I'll accept that as a small price to pay for stability. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999910 Title: [IVB]12.04 64 bit System freezes (mouse, keyboard) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/999910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
