** Description changed: Upgrade from 10.04 LTS to 11.10 - Complained that installation media corrupt or DVD drive not working properly. Used different media and different DVD drive and same issue. This all started because I wanted to use dual monitors (which work well in 10.04, but nothing else) and I saw a solution, on one of the blogs(?), that I wanted to try, namely: change the ui to Gnome2 rather than Unity. - Damn!
