Dear melchiaros and Paolo, It's true that kdenlive should come with xine installed. However what Julian pointed out is that xine is not a dependency of kdenlive, it should be a recommendation. I.e.: kdenlive does not need xine in order to work properly, it needs it to improve it's functionality. Remember that recommended packages are installed by default.
Julian also said that kdenlive is maintained in Debian (the 'base' of Ubuntu), and this bug should be fixed there. There is no need to increase the delta between Debian and Ubuntu for such a small change. ** Changed in: kdenlive (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001646 Title: kdenlive0.9-1 is missing xine for DVD preview To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1001646/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
