apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected quantal running-unity

** Description changed:

  Using Ubuntu 12.10.

  Setup:
I have one monitor connected to my ATI Radeon HD 6800 card (via DVI) and one
monitor connected via HDMI to my ASUS motherboard (the CPU has an Intel HD4000
built-in graphics card). The BIOS is set to have the PCI-E card as the default
display.

  What happens:
When I boot, I see the display connected to the ATI card. If I then go into
display settings, and try turning on the other monitor, the Kernel crashes
spectacularly.

  The log is attached.

My installation is fully updated, but I have not installed any extra AMD
or Intel drivers. Regardless, I'm fairly certain the kernel should not
  be crashing like this.

Let me know if you need any extra info.
