I wrote a script, that it would be nice to have in PATH. It could be used by both the installer and language-selector to set /etc/papersize to a reasonable value as derived from an applicable locale. As regards language-selector, it could be called when the system wide setting of regional formats (in /etc/default/locale) is updated.
@Colin: If you think this is a good idea, is there a suitable package where the script could reside? ** Attachment added: "update-papersize.c" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1094872/+attachment/3535516/+files/update-papersize.c ** Also affects: language-selector (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu Raring) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu Raring) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu Raring) Assignee: (unassigned) => Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1094872 Title: Installation information cause letter format instead of DIN A4 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-selector/+bug/1094872/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
