sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 is no longer supported in newer versions of Ubuntu and does not work just like Ubuntu Warrior said:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+question/221647 http://lists.linaro.org/pipermail/linaro-dev/2012-May/012224.html But Clement says that file is not longer being used either and we must use: /var/lib/dpkg/arch. I have amended that file as per Clement and updated and still this issue persists: sudo apt-get install ia32-libs-multiarch Package ia32-libs-multiarch is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source E: Package 'ia32-libs-multiarch' has no installation candidate So what else can we do? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1016294 Title: ia32-libs-multiarch but it is not installable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ia32-libs/+bug/1016294/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
