Public bug reported: Parallel to the request [1] to add OTR to the windows release i would like to suggest shipping the OTR plugin by default in Ubuntu. The reason is because encryption is a basic security feature and OTR is the de-facto standard for instant messaging encryption (imagine you would need to do sudo apt-get install firefox-ssl for SSL support). In Adium, OTR is already being shipped by default.
