Public bug reported: The XDG Base Directory Specification specifies environment variables that applications can use to find user data. These variables are currently not set in Ubuntu.
I propose that we set the following environment variables in the /etc/xdg/user-dirs.defaults $XDG_DATA_HOME $XDG_CONFIG_HOME $XDG_DATA_DIRS $XDG_CONFIG_DIRS $XDG_CACHE_HOME $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR http://standards.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec- latest.html#variables ** Affects: xdg-user-dirs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: environment freedesktop standards -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1122613 Title: XDG Base Directory Specification environment variables aren't set by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-user-dirs/+bug/1122613/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
