@fourdollars Tested a second USB key, same result
@steve When I navigate to "Boot from EFI file" while in Secureboot, the USB key is not visible, only the system disk with Win8 on it. One of my colleague who just got a different HP laptop reported that he needed to use a USB 2.0 port to get it working, but he was able to install Quantal on his HP laptop with Secureboot enabled. Regarding your last comment (deleting the EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi), I no longer have this setup installed, so I wouldn't be able to test but I will keep an eye on this for the next install -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100247 Title: Unable to install Ubuntu on laptop without enabling Legacy mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim/+bug/1100247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
