yes me to i am affected in mint 14 mate kernel 3.5.0-22 generic , CPU Intel Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz when copying files or reading video with any from network disc no way to kill VLC , gnome player , caja ( Mate file browser) also freeze when file tranfers small file transfer and browsing folders do not cause problems
