The cron job you posted should not be able to cause a system reboot. As this hasn't been confirmed by any other user, and there is surely a huge number of other users running that same cron job, I think it is more likely than not that this is either a hardware fault or some local corruption or misconfiguration, rather than a bug.
Please can you try your setup on a different machine to see if you can reproduce the issue. If you can, please reduce the setup to the minimum steps to configure the machine that still causes the problem, and then post those exact steps here so that a developer can try the same thing. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html to see where I'm coming from. Marking Incomplete, pending steps to reproduce. Once you have posted steps to reproduce, please change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: php5 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1096081 Title: server reboots because of php5 cron job To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1096081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
