I took a look at this driver and found that there's something wrong with
the mceusb_dev_disconnect() function, which is invoked when the driver
is rmmod'ed.  Would you be able to try a test kernel i've uploaded here:

You only need to download the .deb files.  There's a patch there that
contains the changes to the driver.  Please let me know if this solves
the problem (sorry, I don't have the hardware to test it myself).
