Seems it's a package issue. Even when it's successful it doesn't invoke
a change through udevadm. When I did a full installation of raring
instead of just updating the kernel it works flawlessly on the x230 and
the l530.

Seems this bug is invalid and just requires an update to gnome-power-
statics.
