Public bug reported: While adding a new Canon irc5185i network printer via the add printer dialog, I got a popup saying the following:
> Unknown error > > Unknown error, please report a bug. More information is available in the > detailed report. > > Query type 'postscript-driver' is not supported However, I have no idea where the detailed report is - it was not obviously shown. Doing a 'grep -r "postscript-driver"' of my home directory did not find anything. I am still report the bug, because it asked me to, even if it may not be useful without the detailed report :). If nothing else then popping up that dialogue without showing the detailed report is a bug in itself. Other than creating the popup, the printer installed perfectly. t@i ~> lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Release: 12.04 t@i ~> apt-cache policy system-config-printer-gnome system-config-printer-gnome: Installed: 1.3.8+20120201-0ubuntu8.1 Candidate: 1.3.8+20120201-0ubuntu8.1 Version table: *** 1.3.8+20120201-0ubuntu8.1 0 500 http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1.3.8+20120201-0ubuntu8 0 500 http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: makedumpfile (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1103398 Title: While adding new printer, got error popup "Query type 'postscript- driver' is not supported" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/makedumpfile/+bug/1103398/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
