Public bug reported:

pristine-tar 1.20 from Ubuntu Precise is failing to reproduce original
tarball. It is not possible to do any packaging work using for example
'git-buildpackage'.

This bug is fixed in Debian in version 1.21 - see [1]. Please consider
upgrading at least to version 1.21.
Thanks
