flashplugin-nonfree was definitely showing up in synaptic as of last
night. Yup, it's there. I actually manually marked it for installation
after installing nspluginwrapper and seeing that it still didn't work
right.

uhoh.. I just had to force quit terminal and now it won't really re-
load.. time to search for another bug report, why do I have a feeling
that one might be a driver issue.

/usr/lib/firefox/plugins has npwrapper.libflashplayer.so, a symlink that
points to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugiins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so

wait, aha! that symlink is broken! the only libflashplayer.so on my
system is the symlink itself.
