There does not seem to be a unique file, command or process that holds
the high number of file descriptors.

It seems to be regular files like standard libraries, so maybe the cause
is that Chrome just causes a large amount of processes to run.

The largest consumers are:
45 processes command chrome releases 10,923 file descriptors
48 processes command Chrome_Ch releases 5,628 file descriptors
47 processes command VC releases 5,507 file descriptors

- and then another 15k descriptors are released
