I just did a Fedora 18-beta install (no cryptsetup, just default lvm2 setup), and this hangs: lvcreate -s -n oscopy -vvvv -l 100%FREE /dev/fedora/root 2>savefile
I don't know how to do all the things you say in your post, but is there a reference implementation where this can be proven to hang?? You could try it yourself -- I am happy to help, but I have been spending many hours filing this bug report, and I feel it's not getting anywhere. Should I demonstrate this on RHEL? Should I install the mainline kernel on Fedora?
