Well in all honesty, the program name assumes that scanning is simple with this program. Either change the name to, ScanORNotToScan or fix the bug. This scanner is a beast on Windows--from here say across the net-- so it shouldn't be a problem for users.
More importantly--don't bundle software with Ubuntu if it ain't gunna work straight up. The Ubuntu flavor of Linux is intented to get people interested. For a business user--not myself--frustrating this must be. I understand it's open source, but Ubuntu seems to be, or already has moved into the commoner workspace, as such, let power users install from the source or .deb. Simple--aka SimpleScan. Anyways. Suppose it's simple for me to sit here, and be like....? uhhh where's the fix?--but really, this is more important than one assumes. Moreover, how can Gscan2PDF work, if it's not a softare issue? Assuming that this entails not hardware, but softare hack is needed. Ya? YA?! Cause damn--this scanner was expensive--no fringe benifits from being a dev here.
