gpointing-device-settings seems stalled at version 1.5.1 from february 2010 (that's the date of the latest source downloadable from Gnome's project). Three years without updates seems like a dead project to me.
There's probably a need to create a new pointing device settings app, pick that project up from where it stalled, fork it or something. I'm surprised the Ayatana project is not involved here. Many people might just leave Ubuntu because there's no way to make their touchpads work. If that's not a usability problem, I don't know what is. Pretty much a showstopper bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489830 Title: Settings of gpointing-device-settings are non-persistent To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gpointing-device-settings/+bug/489830/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
