Random segfaults with supertuxkart 0.7.3 specifically in Quantal are
very likely due to irrlicht (see bug 1011180, bug 1048284, bug 1049398,
bug 1061436, bug 1064019, bug 1069871...). Please try the version
currently in quantal-backports (0.8-1):
$ sudo apt-get install -t quantal-backports supertuxkart
(Closing this bug because it affects a very old supertuxkart version in
an EOL'ed ubuntu release; please file a new bug report instead.)
