This assertion was being hit:

  if (vtsN > 0) {
    (target->state).vtsN = 0;
    if (!ifoOpenNewVTSI(target, target->dvd, vtsN))
      assert(0);
This code was fixed in precise to remove the assert and fail more
gracefully in this case.
