I'm not sure to have understand you well, but I though you have some trouble to run any 64-bit OSes inside virtualbox both in Windows and Ubuntu (which are 64 bit). Is it right?
In this case I look for the tech specs of your processor (http://ark.intel.com/products/65697/Intel-Core-i3-3217U-Processor-3M- Cache-1_80-GHz) to check if you have the hardware virtualisation available (the technology is colled VT-x), and I saw you are fine. Probably you have to check the VM settings if there are enable the VT-x and page nidification extension (system section, acceleration tab). Some system (like Ubuntu) require also the PAE extension (in the processor tab, along the acceleration one) ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1095275 Title: virtual box doesnt show acceleration in ubuntu 12.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1095275/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
