I'm not sure to have understand you well, but I though you have some
trouble to run any 64-bit OSes inside virtualbox both in Windows and
Ubuntu (which are 64 bit). Is it right?
In this case I look for the tech specs of your processor
(http://ark.intel.com/products/65697/Intel-Core-i3-3217U-Processor-3M-
Cache-1_80-GHz) to check if you have the hardware virtualisation
available (the technology is colled VT-x), and I saw you are fine.
Probably you have to check the VM settings if there are enable the VT-x
and page nidification extension (system section, acceleration tab). Some
system (like Ubuntu) require also the PAE extension (in the processor
tab, along the acceleration one)
