Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 7.04 non latin (cyryllic) symbols in filenames seems like a "??????"
(questions) on CDs, burned in windows programs (like "Nero").
To fix this problem, need:
1) add parameter "iocharset=utf8" in CD-ROM mount options in fstab
2) find in /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage-methods.fdi string
<append key="volume.mount.valid_options" type="strlist">iocharset=</append>
and replace it
<append key="volume.mount.valid_options" type="strlist">iocharset=utf8</append>

P.S. In 7.10 this bug still presents.
