Anybody have any comments on this? Am I misinterpreting this? Here is another email sent just yesterday to me:

Free, ad-supported radio will still be available on the website. Our desktop client remains the best way to scrobble, and all desktop features other than radio are free. This update brings a new design and greater stability to the existing application, and allows you to interact more with the music you listen to.
