** Description changed:

  I'm having regular system freezes with Ubuntu 12.10 and a Core i3-3240.
+ No VT switch or magic keys does anything, the only option is a hard reboot.
  
  Syslog prints many stack traces and:

  I've disabled RC6 with i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 kernel parameter, the the
