Just for the sake of completeness, I attach here what I get from the above hint. I've "simply" run: mora &> moriaabort.txt
The file itself contains some VT-100-like screen codes along with some interesting string: "OH NO!!!!!! A gruesome software bug LEAPS out at you. There is NO defense!" It comes from a function "static void signal_handler(sig, code, scp)" which should be a signal handler. I also attach later the "kernel" messages I captured. My idea is that there's some problem with unchecked file access permissions, not in the home directory. ** Attachment added: "Output redirected from the execution with "&>" bash operator" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/moria/+bug/925005/+attachment/3452860/+files/moriaabort.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925005 Title: moria fails to start with "Abort" error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/moria/+bug/925005/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
