Public bug reported:

I used to be able to hook Nikon D90 up to my Ubuntu 10.4 running Dell
desktop and it would be recognized...program would launch for importing
phots. Now I can get nothing to import photos. Error message is "An
error occurred in the io-library ('Could not lock the device'): Camera
is already in use." Programs like DigiKam, gThumb etc see the camera is
there, but they cannot access it. The camera does not show on desktop
as a mounted device.

** Affects: alsa-lib (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
