Correction - the asynchronous setting on the SCSI adapter isn't what fixes the problem - it's the Disconnect turned to OFF. Here are the corrected instructions:
During boot, when your BusLogic adapter is being initialized, press Ctrl-B to enter your BusLogic adapter setup. Choose the address which your BusLogic containing your scanner is located. Choose ‘‘SCSI Device Configuration’’. Choose ‘‘Scan SCSI Bus’’. Choose whatever SCSI id that contains your scanner and then choose ‘‘View/Modify SCSI configuration’’. Change ‘‘Disconnect’’ to ‘‘off’’. Press Esc, save, and Esc again until you are asked to reboot. -- [BusLogic] scsi drives inaccessible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/83068 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
