The issue exists for me in Fedora 17, Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 12.10, OpenSUSE 12.2, Debian 7, Linux Mint, LMDE, you get it. It's not a distrobution specific problem. I've tried many different APCI parameters in the grub menu and none of them have worked. I'm using Sandy Bridge graphics in an HP 2000 notebook.
