I've seen it in Google Calendar webapp and Yandex Music webapp: application name, I can see if I click on right button on it's icon in Launcher, looks strange, with non-readeble symbols, apps don't appear in Messaging menu (Google Calendar) and Sound menu (Yandex music), Yandex music has no icon in Launcher, question mark instead of it. Here is the part of the "favorites" string in dconf-editor - com - unity - launcher for theese two apps: "'application://=45:A\u001cC7K:0musicyandexru.desktop', 'application://Google\u001a0;5=40@Lgooglecom.desktop'" (Yandex Music and Google Calendar).
