The perl snipplet in postinst can be replaced with this one line sed command: sed -i '/^\(passwd:\|group:\|shadow:\|netgroup:\)/ { /\(\ssss\s\|\ssss$\)/ !{ s/$/ sss/ } }' /etc/nsswitch.conf
