It is not an UBUNTU thingy, it is a Linuw thing. You won't get your floppy to work on Fedora are any other distro either. Exept for Puppy. At least the former ones. Though I must say that Udisks2 is not really what I what we (I) expected. It keeps my floppy occupied al the time, so also there a fix is needed. But Udisks2 seems to work. (more or less) Do not forget that this is Linux, and they have to write everything (almost everything) from scratch. Linux had come this far... And it will go on developing.
