Marking as invalid because: 1) UUID's are not even kernel related. Userspace gets this information by reading the superblock directly. The kernel doesn't change or modify this, or even decide what it is. 2) Devices changing UUID's is not only stupid, but counterintuirtive 3) There's no way to deduce what the UUID was or should be, so we can't even work around this.
Please bug the device manufacturer. ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Assignee: Ubuntu Kernel Team => (unassigned) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- uuid is never the same with w810i phone https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120677 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
