  I have a  system with an AMD Athlon II X3 445 on a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
  motherboard, running Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit, and have been encountered
  intermittent kernel panic when attempting to log into my account (from
  lightdm). My setup is such that users' credentials and home dirs are
  served up from servers via NIS and autofs over NFS. Below is the
