Public bug reported:

My laptop will not boot into ubuntu if I start the system with an
external monitor attached.

After selecting "Ubuntu" screen shows this text:

alloc magic broken at 0xdfbb1680: ff2c001e
Aborted. Press any key to exit

_________

I am then forced to disconnect the monitor and reboot the system.

However if I connect the monitor while "Ubuntu" is loading/loaded I can
work with the external monitor without issue.
