This is still happening as of version 0.2~r674918-0ubuntu3 (current Gutsy's version). I tried removing the knetworkmanagerrc file and the program still keeps "forgetting" the hidden ESSID (even though the passwork and the ESSID name were and still are storaged in kdewallet).
