Anyway, the fix (the revert) is already queued for the next kernel.
This kernel should be out in ~3 weeks, but by the end of this week (or
beginning of next week) you should be able to use it if you enable the
-proposed pocket (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for
details).

I'll post here in the bug report once the kernel is available.
