Public bug reported: Hi there -- forked-daapd crashes at what seem to be random times. Sometimes it's during startup, and other times it's while playing files. There does not seem to be a pattern to the crashes -- it's not always on the same file, or type of file, or when doing the same action. On the occasions where forked-daapd has successfully started up and begun serving files (it servers to a Roku Soundbridge), I've been able to trigger a crash by simply leaving it playing overnight...it's always dead by morning.
I've run forked-daapd under both Valgrind and gdb as detailed in the Ubuntu help pages (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash), and have attached the traces. At first glance it seems to me the problem *might* be in libavcodec...however, I'm not a developer and I'm not sure I'm reading the backtrace properly, so I'm filing this against forked- daapd.
