maybe we should implement libgrepmazon which handles the request in a different thread, it could be reused in other packages like "command- not-found" or "binutils" aswell.
I think because everyone out there has 1Gbit internetaccess via fibre wire, we can safely make this singlethreaded, because it will only block and make the commands it´s integrated with useless for a the event that the amazon servers are down or you don´t have an internet connection, as this will NEVER ever happen, we can safely asume that 100ms - 10seconds of wait time per command can be tolreated by a user (must be, because we say so). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1055766 Title: grep -R doesn't automatically search amazon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/1055766/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
