For users of stable releases only, the visible difference will be that there are crash notifications now, whereas they didn't have any in the previous releases. They wouldn't expect reports to go to Launchpad, and it would be way too much to ask them to report them there IMHO (aside from the fact that LP's handling of private data is way too inflexible to guarantee that it doesn't leak to the public, etc.) > I understand there aren't enough people or hours in the day to fix every > problem, but isn't the point of LTS to maintain and improve stability, > so long as it doesn't require new functionality? Correct. That's why we have http://errors.ubuntu.com now which tells us exactly about the most pressing problems. And we do use it to fix them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1036965 Title: Apport reports to errors.ubuntu.com, not Launchpad bugs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1036965/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
