This bug affects me as well. I did not encounter locks of the ldap account though. But the hyper-activity of Evolution leads to maximum i/o usage which sooner or later blocks the whole system. It is really hard to close Evolution then, because even the mouse pointer needs minutes to move ... It takes approx. 3-4 hours until this behaviour occurs.
The Exchange email account is used in parallel from 2 other clients as well (Outlook).
