I have the same problem, my video card is Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML with the driver xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu feisty, is not just the video doesnt work, when i was using beryl with edgy (with the 915resolution package), all the video players works and the rendering was perfect, now with feisty if you have beryl and see the top of the cube, you can see there is no normal quality in the original beryl (red with the ruby) top image, other think is when you use the fire effect you can see the bad quality comparing with the beryl in edgy.
