Public bug reported: I use the ~/.gvfs directory as a way to access mounted systems for access in editors, etc (i.e. Geany). It allows me to point the editor at the host subdir within ~/.gvfs and easily browse/edit the files.
Since upgrading to 12.10 it keeps breaking. valorin@gandalf:~$ cd ~/.gvfs bash: cd: /home/valorin/.gvfs: Transport endpoint is not connected It sometimes is broken from login, and I need to restart to fix it up, and other times I can use it happily for hours before it will suddenly decide to stop working. It's very frustrating since I need to close down everything (and potentially lose work since I can't save it on my remote host) and restart each time it happens.
