Thanks Jeroen. That GLX error means your graphics driver is not properly
installed.

I've seen the same error happen myself but don't know what causes it other than 
a mixup of the GLX library that's active. To solve the problem you should try 
uninstalling and then reinstalling your driver:
  1. Ctrl+Alt+T to open a terminal
  2. Run:  jockey-gtk
  3. Uninstall all active drivers.
  4. Reboot
And if it's not already solved then...
  5. Ctrl+Alt+T to open a terminal
  6. Run:  jockey-gtk
  7. Install one of the graphics drivers it gives you the choice of.
  8. Reboot
