I'm running Kubuntu Feisty and suspend to ram works fine (most of the time). My problem is suspend to disk. I have an ACER Aspire 1692 with an ATI Radeon Mobilty X600. I'm using the X11 provided drivers. Now to my problem. As I said suspend to ram works fine and I go weeks without a real reboot. The problem is suspend to disk. It suspends well but when it comes back the suspend led keeps flashing, there is no sound and acpi doesn't work properly. Also guidance takes an eternity to get the batery status after that and to be usable. It seems to me that some part of the system is not waking up properly but I don't know which. Also I noticed that if I don't use the 'Lock screen after resuming' option from guidance-power-manager, then I rarely can come back form either suspend to ram/disk.
I attach the diff of /var/log/kern.log before and after a suspend to disk. ** Attachment added: "kernel log for the relevant period befor and after a suspend to disk" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8255972/kern-diff.log -- Hibernation and Suspend doesn't work on acer aspire 1603 LM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/39564 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
